Certified ADHD and Life Coach
I am a Life Coach who specializes in working with people that have a unique brain wiring. Honestly, that is everyone. Every brain is unique. I became interested in ADHD Coaching when I saw friends and family members become discouraged by a system that was either unable or untrained to work with ADHD. I thought my unusual background could help fill the void in ADHD education and awareness.
Before I started my family, I worked with animals in zoological settings. Caring for animals that were living in captivity, I dedicated my life to ensure these wonderful animals had the very best life I could provide. My specialty was reducing stress and providing an enriching environment; I did this by training husbandry behaviors (behaviors needed for health and daily care), developing behavioral plans and constantly trying to develop new ways to keep the animals active and their brains motivated.
Since the most important things to an ADHD brain is motivation and enrichment, my background was well suited to becoming a coach and is what drew me to ADHD Coaching. I understand being trapped, especially being trapped in your own head.
I currently serve on the Professional Advisory Committee for ADDA-SR and have been volunteering for ADDA since 2023 as a facilitator for an adult ADHD social skills support group, Becoming a People Person.
